AWESOME AIRCRAFT

We offer modern Sling aircraft with glass cockpits for recreational flight training. You can find our full fleet here.

AWESOME BRIEFINGS

As a student training at any of our GoFly locations you will receive FREE access to over 180 video lessons, briefings, safety tips, documentaries and blogs on our exclusive GoFly Online training platform. No more boring white board briefings. Watch the pre-flight and in-flight video lesson in the comfort of your own home, as many times as you need, before your actual flying lesson – which will speed up your learning and save you money.

AWESOME LOCATION

At just 100km north of Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast is home to breathtaking beaches, multi-coloured sand dunes, mangrove forests, glistening waterways, walking trails and hinterland escapes.  It’s the perfect place for music festivals, weddings, arts, sports events and especially good for flying over (much better than endless suburbs, roads and concrete).  Within 60 seconds of take off, you will be flying over Golden Beach, Pumicestone Passage and Bribie Island, leaving all your cares behind.

We have access to two runways so you never have to fly in a crosswind – unless you really want to! There’s plenty of parking on the street. Our air-conditioned office has a briefing room, simulator room and waiting room, as well as access to toilets. Students can enjoy tea and coffee or eat their lunch in the air-conditioned kitchen which is complete with a fridge and microwave. [We no longer offer training at the Gold Coast. Click here to find out more about Gold Coast Sport Flying Training.]

AWESOME SERVICE

If you have some questions, call us on 5341 8125 (between 9-3pm,  Mon-Sunday) or email goflyaviation@gmail.com  To book in for a flight, use our new student form or email goflyaviation@gmail.com with your name, phone number and preferred date and time. We will then send you our ‘Enrolment email’ with lots of useful info in it and invite you to access our booking system and our awesome online videos.

CAR

If you are travelling north from Brisbane by car, take the Bruce Highway (M1) and take exit 188 to Caloundra and then continue on Caloundra Road which will take you up over a hill. You’ll go past the BP Service Station on your left. Turn right at that roundabout and follow the signs to ‘Air Museum’. You will come to a T-intersection, where you will turn right into Pathfinder Drive. Head straight down that road until you reach our office at 20 Pathfinder Drive. We are on the left side of the road at the end of the street opposite the Westpac Lifesaving Rescue Service.

BUS: Bus route 605 runs past the Caloundra Airport.

WEATHER: You can find out about the weather in Caloundra by checking the BOM radar as well as our weather cam.

Bring your friends and family and make a weekend of it!

While our office does have a waiting area, magazines and internet for your friends and family, there are more exciting places for them to wait while you fly. Caloundra offers five great beaches, casual eating places, fine dining restaurants, boutique shops, theme parks, aqua fun parks, aquariums, boat cruises, dive experiences, bike and boat hire, mountain climbs and much more! There are so many great things for families to do while in Caloundra, that you may as well make a day of it (or even stay overnight) if you are travelling from outside the Sunshine Coast for your trial flight or flying lesson here. Drop your friends and family at Bulcock Beach 2.5kms away, before your flight and then rejoin them afterwards. You can also take advantage of our special discount codes below for 7 night stays.

You can see the vast range of attractions and experiences on the official Visit Sunshine Coast website as well as the Things to do in Caloundra website and the 14 things to do in Caloundra blog.  There are plenty of boat cruises you can go on around the canals, rivers and our on the ocean, and at certain times of the year you can also swim with whales! You may even like to go charter boat fishing

GoFly Aviation acknowledges that the Sunshine Coast is the home of the Kabi Kabi and the Jinibara peoples, the traditional custodians, whose lands and waters we all now share. We recognise that these places have always been of cultural, spiritual, social and economic significance.
