I first realised I wanted to be a pilot when, back in my home town of Adelaide, I was driving past Parafield Airport and saw a light plane fly overhead. I thought: Geez that looks incredible! I had always loved flying as a kid and often got more excited about the journey on the plane than the holiday destination. The next day I went back to Parafield and enquired about becoming a pilot, a few days later I did a TIF in a C172 and was totally hooked. I went on to get my CPL in 2023 and completed my Grade 3 Instructor rating and RAAUS Instructor certificate in early 2024. I wasn't sure if i would make a great teacher initially but after working at Inspire Aviation and having the privilege of taking my first students up in the air, I realised how rewarding it can be. I now get a buzz from seeing students learn new things and look forward to working more with GoFly to develop my teaching skills and impart as much practical and theoretical knowledge as I can to the students.
outside of flying...
When I'm not at the airport or up in the air, I spend most of my time outside in nature. I love to keep fit and you'll often find me swimming at the beach, snorkelling, hiking and cycling. I also enjoy reading, learning languages such as Spanish, and spending time with family and friends. I'm always up for an adventure and keen to do some more sky diving, bungee jumping and scuba diving.
