I was born in NSW ('go the Blues'), but I grew up in Caloundra and have lived here for 17 years. I started flying before I could legally drive on our roads. I obtained my RPL, car learner license, boat and jet ski license on my 16th birthday (I'm a bit of an overachiever when it comes to the things I love doing).
I was accepted into a cadetship out of Moorabbin Airport in VIC and lived there for 2 years during COVID; flying very little due to the restrictions :(.
I completed my commercial theory subjects and my PPL while I was there; so living in the cold and rain for 2 years wasn't a complete waste! When the restrictions were lifted I moved back to the warm covid free sunshine coast region. I was lucky enough to live in Toowoomba for 6 months to complete my CPL and Multi Engine Rating in the B58 at Darling Downs.
After that I finished off my training in May 2023 with a completed Multi Engine Instrument Rating in a C310 out of Redcliffe, and if you ask me which I prefer, the B58 or the C310 it will always be the B58, sorry Cessna lovers.
I'm in the middle of completing my ATPL subjects with 6 out of 7 done. I'm currently assisting with creating content for the GoFly Online platform on Mondays and Tuesdays and working as a junior instructor on Wednesdays and Thursdays plus overing the admin desk on Fridays (or flying with students on request.
For as long as i can remember i have been almost living in the ocean; either surfing, swimming or wakeboarding. I'm currently being talked into trying slalom skiing.
Outside the water you can find me either on the couch with my head in a book, trying to mountain bike or in the gym. I also love spending my weekends on my partner's properties with the cows, horses and riding the old CFR 250 farm bike with my dog in tow.
