Michael Kornaus

I’m an RAAus instructor and a CASA Grade 3 flight instructor. I have been passionate about aviation for as long as I can remember, I’m not sure exactly where the passion came from but I’ve always loved flying RC planes and using planes in video games as a kid.

I finally made the decision to become a pilot in 2018 by studying my Commercial pilots license and Multi engine instrument rating on the beautiful Gold Coast at Coolangatta airport.

Aviation

Prior to working at GoFly, I was a volunteer flight instructor at the Australian Air League in Camden.

Hobbies

When I’m not flying, I’m either surfing, playing video games or training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ). I’ve been training BJJ for over 4 years now and I’ve progressed to purple belt. I enjoy the fitness aspect as well as helping out new students, which is part of the reason I became a flight instructor.
